When I first booked here, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this three-star arrangement, but honestly, it turned out to be pretty clever. You get the independence of your own place while still having hotel-style booking and service backup when you need it.
The Apartment Experience
Each unit comes with its own kitchenette, which is genuinely useful in Eilat where eating out every meal can get expensive fast. The spaces vary quite a bit depending on which location you end up with — some are more modern, others have that lived-in Israeli apartment feel that’s actually kind of charming. What I appreciated most was having a proper fridge and the ability to make coffee without calling room service.
Location Advantages
Here’s where things get interesting — since Amdar has properties in different parts of Eilat, you might end up closer to the beach, near the marina, or tucked into a quieter residential area. I mean, it’s a bit of a lottery, but Eilat isn’t huge, so you’re never really far from anything. The Red Sea beaches are the main draw anyway, and most locations put you within walking distance or a short taxi ride from the coral reefs and beach clubs.
Practical Considerations
The service level sits somewhere between a hotel and an Airbnb — there’s support when you need it, but you’re mostly on your own day-to-day. Some units have better parking situations than others, which matters if you’re planning to rent a car and explore the Negev Desert or drive up to Jerusalem. The Wi-Fi has been reliable in my experience, though the speed varies by location.

Was clean nice and comfortable
What could be improved: The sun didn't get to the swimming pool area, the water was very cold
The space was clean, there were an oven and a dishwasher, which are extras not every place has.
What could be improved: There weren't enough towels, no bath or kitchen towels, there was no soap in the bathroom, no rags for the kitchen and not enough toilet paper.
We had a small issue with the AC during our stay, but the host was extremely responsive and helpful. They quickly sent someone to fix it and even provided a temporary AC in the meantime to keep us comfortable. On the day of checkout, the host generously offered us a late checkout to make up for the inconvenience. Great service and hospitality!
The location was excellent.
What could be improved: The bathrooms were dingy, the mattresses were uncomfortable, and the hot tub never got warmed up to hot.

What could be improved: The pool isn't big, the sheets are really not comfortable and not so clean.
We had a great time. Everything was walking distance. The appointment was near Everything. We stayed for 9 days.
Location, nice apartment size
The location is great, you can walk for the promonande, or to the close beach (10-15 min walk) and there's a supermarket within 5 min walk. The appartement is very well suited for a family of 6 like us.
The AC is VERY GOOD, which is critical in Eilat, also the beds in the bedrooms were excellent, while the living room's sofa was fine.
We also liked the small terrace, was useful for a couple of BBQs we did.
This is the 3rd or 4th time we're staying with Amdar, and I'm pretty sure we'll stay with them again
Would rate it 8-9 if the issues I mentioned are fixed.
What could be improved: The place is not very well maintained,
some are minor issues such as wet walls, seems like they have some sealing issue. But some issues were more disturbing, such as a broken AC outlet neer the TV, and kitchen oven which was not fixed to the cabinet.
More, the water heating was not working. At first, we tought we're not operating it right, and also a sunny day gave us enough hot water to work with (seems like the solar system does work). After few night, and a cloudy day, the hot water run out after 3 showers, leaving us showering in cold water.
On that specific day I couldn't reach the owner (which is normally highly accesible), but on the next day, when we left I informed them of the issue, so I want to believe they'll fix it...
Despite all that, as mentioned above, I'm sure we'll stay again with Amdar.

What could be improved: Toilets air vent in the parents room is broken, owner explained it will not be fixed.This cause uneasy condions in the room ...
The apartment had a modern design and was very clean.
The garden was quite large and had the facilities for bbq and a dining area outside
There was plenty of cooking equipment and the bathrooms were clean
What could be improved: Some areas of the apartment had imperfections and a bit broken.
The location is a bit far in the heat from the center and is all up hill
