The Location Sweet Spot

Here’s what I really appreciated about the location — you’re close enough to hear the buzz of the main tourist areas, but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night. It’s maybe a 15-minute walk to the beach, which sounds like a lot until you realize you’re avoiding the crowds that swarm the beachfront hotels. The neighborhood has this residential feel that makes you feel less like a tourist and more like you’re staying somewhere real.

The Room Experience

My room was simple but thoughtfully done. Nothing fancy, but the air conditioning worked perfectly (crucial in Eilat’s heat), and the bed was actually comfortable — not one of those rock-hard hotel mattresses that leave you aching. The bathroom was clean and modern, though compact. What I loved was the little balcony where I could sit with my morning coffee and watch the neighborhood wake up.

Daily Rhythms

Breakfast happens in this cozy dining area that feels more like someone’s home than a hotel restaurant. The selection isn’t huge, but everything’s fresh — good hummus, local cheeses, and decent coffee. The owner often stops by tables to chat, asking about your plans for the day. There’s parking right outside, which saved me from the nightmare of finding a spot in central Eilat during peak season.

Why Guests Love It

You know what makes Dream house work? It’s unpretentious in a city full of flashy resorts trying too hard. The 9.1 rating makes sense when you realize it’s not trying to be something it’s not — it’s just doing the basics really, really well. For the price point, you get genuine hospitality and a comfortable base for exploring Eilat without the tourist trap markup.
