The desert Pearl
Your Eilat Retreat
First Impressions
The desert Pearl caught me off guard, honestly. Tucked away on Ye’elim Street in Eilat, this three-star gem sits quietly in a residential building — you’d walk right past it if you weren’t looking. The apartment-style setup on the first floor might seem unconventional, but that’s exactly what makes it special. It feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place than a typical hotel.
The Space
The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious, with a proper kitchen that actually works — not one of those tiny hotel setups with a broken microwave. I mean, you can cook real meals here if you want to save some shekels or just prefer eating in. The room layout flows naturally, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. You know what impressed me most? The attention to small details that make you feel settled rather than just passing through.
Location Insights
Here’s the thing about this spot — you’re in a real neighborhood, not the touristy hotel strip down by the beach. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the Red Sea, which honestly gives you a better sense of how locals actually live in Eilat. The street is quiet enough that you’ll actually sleep well (trust me, the beachfront hotels can get pretty loud). Plus, there’s decent parking nearby, which anyone who’s driven in Eilat will tell you is worth its weight in gold.
What Works
The hosts clearly get what travelers need — reliable WiFi, proper air conditioning (essential in Eilat’s heat), and a washing machine that’s actually clean. I stayed here during peak season, and while the big hotels were charging ridiculous rates, this place offered real value. The building might look ordinary from the outside, but the apartment itself is well-maintained and thoughtfully equipped. It’s the kind of place where you can relax without constantly worrying about extra charges or hotel rules.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.2 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be something it isn’t — there’s no fancy lobby or pool, no overpriced minibar. Instead, you get genuine hospitality and a comfortable base for exploring Eilat at a fraction of the cost of beachfront properties. The desert Pearl works because it focuses on the basics that actually matter: cleanliness, comfort, and letting you feel like you belong somewhere rather than just visiting. For travelers who want authentic experiences over Instagram-worthy lobbies, this place delivers exactly what you didn’t know you were looking for.

Guest Reviews
Clean, includes all the required. Good communication with owners and good service. Free parking (marked as multicultural parking zone, but owners mentioned that no payment is required).
What could be improved: Old neighborhood, noisy. But with closed windows is less a problem.
Everything was great, host helpful, the place perfect!
What could be improved: Nothing incovenient
Its a great apartment. Very clean and well looked after. I would have given 10/10 except its not that easy to find if you don't read or speak Hebrew. Fortunately my wife does, even then the instructions given were not easy to understand due to the fact we arrived from a different direction. If the host could send a pin location it would be so much easier. Great value for money and I would definitely stay there again. Parking was super easy.
What could be improved: Run out of hot water due to lack of sun. Host just forgot to mention that you need to turn on the power when its cloudy. Directions need to be better.
There is everything you need in the apartment.
A lot of space. Comfortable bed. Fully equipped kitchen.
Lovely spaciousness, quiet apartment with lots of attention to detail for a lovely stay. Just seconds to a convenience store and less than 5 min walk to the supermarket and the bus stop to the beach via the pedestrian lanes. Lovely sheets.
What could be improved: The value for money supercedes the location which is not near the beach for those who wish to be downtown. One can walk down to the beach in 30 min, the climb back up is a good workout. 15 min on the bus to Royal Beach. 5 min taxi to the bus station.

What could be improved: Difficulty in getting location
Everything new and clean. Everything works. All the facilities. Hot water always. Big bed. Big fridge. Parking near the house.
What could be improved: A little bit noisy neighbors.
A great value for a whole apartment. It's well equipped with cooking stuff, refrigerator, and even a washing machine. Also furnished is a clothes drying rack. Snorkel gear, too. Good WiFi. And all the space of a one bedroom apartment, bigger than a hotel room; a long term stay would be comfortable here. Not far from the central bus station. More of a walk to the Red Sea.
What could be improved: It would have been good to have the code to the lock box and clear directions to where it was hidden, sent via Booking.com messages. Because it was almost the sabbath, I called the host (for quicker response than messaging), who then called the man in the neighboring unit to help with that. They were all nice about it and I was able to gain access to the apartment. However, some of this may have been my fault for not having WhatsApp if good instructions were sent there. (Israelis love WhatsApp). I was paying attention to my e-mail, where Booking.com messages would appear.
Very nice apartment. Had a great time from June 30 to July 2, 2024. Everything is in the apartment, everything is in excellent condition. There were three of us adults with one child. Thanks to the owner for quality accommodation for us tourists.
super very close. also we invited piza.
What could be improved: the weather was hot. the location is very far from all attractions and sea. there were a lot Christian literature in apartment.
