Shalom’s place 2
Your Eilat Retreat
First Impressions
Shalom’s place 2 might not win any awards for flashy signage, but honestly, that’s part of its charm. Tucked away on Avnei Choshen Street, this three-star spot feels more like staying at a friend’s well-kept apartment building than a traditional hotel. The entrance is understated — you might actually walk past it if you’re not paying attention — but once you’re inside, there’s this immediate sense of calm that hits you.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location in Eilat — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the main tourist chaos to actually get some sleep. The beach is maybe a 10-minute walk, which means you can grab your morning coffee and be watching the sunrise over the Red Sea before most people have even checked their phones. The local shops nearby aren’t tourist traps either; there’s a small grocery store where locals actually shop, and the guy behind the counter will tell you which hummus brand is worth buying.
The Room Experience
My room was simple but thoughtfully arranged — clean lines, decent air conditioning (crucial in Eilat’s heat), and a small balcony that caught the evening breeze perfectly. The bed was firmer than I expected, which I actually appreciated after long days exploring the coral reefs. What surprised me most was the attention to small details: good reading lights, enough outlets near the bed, and blackout curtains that actually work. The bathroom wasn’t huge, but everything functioned properly, and the water pressure was solid.
Daily Rhythms
Mornings here have this unhurried quality that’s hard to find in busier hotels. There’s no elaborate breakfast buffet, but what they do offer is fresh and local — the kind of simple spread that doesn’t leave you feeling stuffed before a day of snorkeling. The staff moves at Eilat’s natural pace, which means they’ll chat about the best spots to see dolphins or which restaurants serve decent fish, rather than rushing you through check-in procedures.
Why Guests Love It
You know what really sets this place apart? It’s unpretentious in the best possible way. The other guests I met were mostly seasoned travelers who’d discovered that sometimes a 9-rated three-star beats a mediocre four-star every time. There’s parking available, which anyone who’s driven around Eilat will appreciate, and the whole vibe encourages you to spend your time exploring rather than hanging around the hotel. If you’re the type who needs a pool with a swim-up bar, this isn’t your spot — but if you want a clean, comfortable base for experiencing what Eilat really offers, Shalom’s place 2 delivers exactly that.

Guest Reviews
Perfect location. Immaculately clean, spacious and fully equipped.
Also has a safe room (ממד) for these troubled times
It was pretty clean
What could be improved: The apartment is 2 bedrooms and a living room not 3 bedrooms as advertised, we were 3 friends and so this didn’t fit our needs , the owner was willing to refund less then 1/2 the amount after 1 night out of three.
This is not the first comment which states it ( only reviewed them all after we saw the problem) which means the owner knows about the problem and deliberately does nothing to fix it
Good location, the owner was super nice and the apartment had almost everything we needed.
What could be improved: The description said three bedrooms, when it is, in fact, two bedrooms + 1 living room (where the sofa bed was). A bit misleading in terms of expectations, but had no real effect on our stay.
