When I first walked up to HI – Eilat Hostel on Derech Mitsraaim, I honestly wasn’t expecting much — the word “hostel” can be misleading here. This place operates more like a unique boutique hotel without an official star rating, and that actually works in its favor. My room was clean and functional — nothing fancy, but everything worked properly and the air conditioning was a godsend during those scorching Eilat afternoons. I actually enjoyed the short walk to the waterfront; it gave me a chance to see more of the residential side of Eilat. Plus, there’s decent parking available, which isn’t always a given in this part of town.
